Attorney ABB and Honorable William Nardini

Attorney Antonietta Brancaccio-Balzano, board member of the NIABA once again demonstrates great interest in serving the international legal community. She did not hesitate to assist President Donnarumma in orchestrating the international conference for the first in-person meeting after the pandemic. The event took place during a joint meeting of the Directors of the National Italian American Bar Association (NIABA) and the Connecticut Italian American Bar Association (CIABA).

It was held at the Litchfield School of Law at the Tapping Reeve House in Litchfield, Connecticut, the first law school in the United States. The conference started with messages of appreciation deliverred by the Bar Association Presidents Fran Donnarumma and Danielle Raso. The he solemn American and Italian anthems were performed by world known tenor Carlo De Antonis.  Officers and Directors of NIABA and CIABA were sworn in by Hon. William J. Nardini, Judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.

The Conference was also shared via Zoom for attorneys around the country to attend, as well as by attorneys in Italy and Canada who could not attend due to Covid restrictions. Attorney Brancaccio-Balzano moderated the conference in both English and Italian. Among the attendees, the President of the Bar Association in Naples Antonio Tafuri, the President of the Bar Association in Rome Antonino Galletti, and the President of the Bar Association in Milan Vinicio Nardi. Among the topics, the plan to establish strong relationships between NIABA and other bar associations around the globe, a project that attorney Brancaccio-Balzano took to her heart.
